Currently accepting new clients!
I am queer, neurodivergent, and mixed-race Asian with Japanese and white ancestry. I come to this work with years of experience in working with young people, providing social services, and community organizing. I believe racism, sexism, homophobia, colonialism, racialized capitalism, ableism, xenophobia, and other systems of oppression impact all areas of our lives including our mental health and well-being. My therapeutic approach is rooted in principles of anti-oppression, trauma informed care, and collective liberation which has been shaped by my learning from and involvement in abolition and racial justice movements.
In addition to my role as a social work student and therapy intern, I am a trained and certified somatic coach. Many of us have disconnected with our bodies as ways to survive personal and intergenerational trauma. My approach includes reconnecting with our bodies by listening to and learning from the wisdom and pain that they hold. I believe in co-creating a safe container with my clients that is uniquely built around the needs, desires, and experiences of each individual. Due to my personal experiences I would be honored to support people as they explore the intersections of religion and queerness and connect with their inner knowings, beliefs, and power. I am excited to work with people as they navigate relationship dynamics, explore identity, get to know their bodies more deeply, make space for grief, increase capacity for duality, face and heal the internalized oppression that lives in the body, work on boundaries and accountability, and embody their lives more deeply.
