Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do I have to be queer to be seen here?

No, you do not have to be queer to be seen by one of our queer therapists. At Perfectly Queer Counseling, we welcome individuals of all identities, orientations, and backgrounds. Whether you’re exploring your identity, have already found it or are curious about something new, we are here to support you wherever you are on your journey.

  • Do you see couples?

Unfortunately, no. We only see individuals at this time.

If you would like referrals for queer-affirming couples therapists please let us know!

  • What ages do you work with?

We are able to work with anyone 13 years of age or older. Our providers have experience working with folks of all ages and are happy to provide referrals if you’re looking for therapy for someone under age 13.

  • Do you accept insurance?

This varies based on which provider you are seeing.

Our interns are not able to accept insurance. Their fee is $55 per session.

Staff therapists can accept Premera, Kaiser PPO, Lifewise and First Choice and are out of network for all other insurance. We do offer courtesy billing for out of network carriers. Contact our financial specialist (support@perfectlyqueercounseling.com) to learn more about your insurance plan and options.

  • How can I book a session?

The first step is setting up a free 20-minute phone consultation with us! We use that time to learn a little about you and what you’re looking for, what your availability is, and answer any questions you may have.

We accept applications in the first few months of every year and make internship offers by the end of March each year. If you would like to apply, please email support@perfectlyqueercounseling.com.
