As a compassionate and dedicated therapist, I am deeply committed to helping both adults and adolescents navigate their unique mental health journeys. With a focus on trauma-informed care, sex-positive therapy, and intersectional identity development, I believe in the power of empathy, humility, and humor to facilitate healing and growth.
My journey in the field of mental health began with a passion for creating a safe and inclusive space for the LGBTQ+ community. As a queer therapist and supervisor, I understand the importance of offering support that is sensitive to the diverse experiences and challenges faced by individuals with varying sexual orientations and gender identities. Through my own lived experiences, I have developed a profound appreciation for the power of self-discovery, self-acceptance, and the transformative potential of therapeutic relationships.
In my practice, I strive to foster an environment where clients feel seen, heard, and valued. Recognizing that every individual's story is unique, I approach therapy collaboratively, working together with clients to tailor treatment plans that align with their goals and aspirations. My goal is to empower my clients to unlock their inner strengths and resources, guiding them towards a path of healing and personal growth.
Beyond my clinical practice, I am an advocate for the professional development of emerging queer therapists and students. I firmly believe in the power of mentorship and supervision as transformative tools for personal and professional growth. To this end, I actively prioritize sharing my knowledge and expertise with queer students and associate-level therapists, offering internship opportunities and providing supervision that is affirming, supportive, and tailored to their needs.
Regarding pronouns, I embrace the use of she/they pronouns for myself, reflecting the fluidity of my own gender identity. Additionally, I default to they/them pronouns when addressing others, recognizing the importance of respecting and affirming individual gender preferences and identities.
My work is grounded in the belief that therapy is a collaborative and transformative process, and I am committed to helping clients navigate the complexities of their mental health with empathy, authenticity, and respect. Through trauma-informed care, sex-positive therapy, and an intersectional lens, I aim to create a positive and empowering therapeutic experience for all individuals seeking support on their journey of healing and self-discovery.
